Ali Baba Restaurant in Karlsruhe

Super delicious food - even if you pick it up in Corona times. Our absolute favorite: Arabic table. There is a little bit of everything - right up to the wonderful baklava dessert. We are looking forward to the time when you can sit comfortably inside and feast again. This is how long we recommend the out-of-home service to everyone.

The food was tasty. However, the portions are quite small. Service was miserable though. We had to wait more than 40 minutes for our bill, and not everything was correct.

Very friendly staff who respond to all requests. Classic Syrian food with a good explanation of what to eat. Ambience typical of the country and very nice. Unfortunately, the toilets are not really eye-catching, but everything is still very clean. therefore only 4 *. A clear recommendation for everyone who wants to eat something different, which is not available in every kebab shop and on every corner.

The Alibaba restaurant is very good. You are kidnapped to the Orient and the guest is appreciated. Personally, I really like to eat in this culture because, for example, I can take the starter with my hands at the table. It tastes so good. That's why I'm giving you full marks. Great restaurant

We loved it and will be back! After we got to know and love Lebanese cuisine on vacation in France, we started looking for a Lebanese restaurant at home. In a long distance the Ali Baba was the only place with Lebanese cuisine that is a real restaurant and not a better takeout, and today we went there. What can I say, the hour's journey from Vaihingen was worth it. The food and Lebanese wine were sensational and the service, how shall I put it, it was our first time and we were received like friends. We felt completely at ease ?

Sensationally good! We have seldom eaten so well as a family. In the selected 3-course menu (No. 55), every course convinced us - varied, refined, seasoned, cooked to the point. Our offspring also loved it. The staff is friendly, humorous and regularly asked about our well-being. A successful evening!

With great expectations after the TV appearance on 'Mein Lokal dein Lokal'. Unfortunately we were completely disappointed. Food was ok, meat partly raw but unfortunately the service brought it to extremes in the end ... a complete disaster - unfriendly and cheeky.

It was a wonderful evening! From friendly service to an oriental atmosphere, everything was perfect. The extensive menu happily explains each dish. The food is fresh and cooked with traditional spices. The best falafel we've eaten so far! The dessert can be rounded off with a freshly brewed Arabic mocha. I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to go on an oriental journey!

A good starting point for friends of exotic dishes. I liked it very much and the prices are also moderate. The appealing ambience did the rest - I was completely satisfied.

My absolute favorite Syrian / Lebanese. A very nice oriental restaurant. The food was first class and the staff were very nice and attentive! Always happy =) Edit: Small suggestion for improvement -> The salad under the starters could be a bit turned on and instead of a cheap iceberg you could tend towards a "higher quality" salad (different leaf salads?). As I have observed, nobody wants to eat it, which means that it just goes back and ends up in the trash - a shame!

This restaurant has long been one of the best I've eaten at. The preparation of the dishes is fantastic. The waitress tries very hard and is always in a good mood. However, you have to remember that it is best to make a reservation, otherwise you won't get a seat. Just the aromas as you enter are tempting!

Very rude restaurant owner and racist... He said it is forbidden to only order food and every single person on the table should order a drink... He said that we (because we are Arabs) are used to do wrong behaviour in restaurants and he must correct our deeds!!!! Never again to this place.. Note we were 4 people and all of us ordered food plus appetisers and only one from the 4 people did not want to order a drink.... Inaccurate information: before going there by a half an hour we called to make sure that they have a specific dish when we arrived he told us it is not available and that it is not his responsibility because he is Not the one who answered the phone, it was another worker!!!

For me personally one of the best restaurants in Karlsruhe. The Syrian-Lebanese cuisine offers a variety of taste experiences for the European palate. The restaurant is rather small but with a very cozy atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is really unbeatable here! The always friendly owners complete the experience.

This is an excellent Syrian or Lebanese restaurant. They offer authentic dishes. The staff is really nice and helpful. Food is of good quality and freshly made. Best is to have a reservation if you come in the evening.

After a long time, I finally managed to eat at Ali Baba and we were thrilled. The food is very authentic and tasty. The restaurant is small and therefore comfortable, there are also a few outdoor seats. Friendly service, very recommendable.

I normally don't write reviews for fast food. However this place stands out. It is clean, friendly service, and much better than average food for the price. I tried a chicken and it was as good as any chicken in any restaurant! This is a great place, It's the best resturant in.town

Kind waitress and nice environment. We enjoyed the Vorspeisen teller thanks to which we could try different kinds of delicious finger food (~12 eur /person). Also the Aperol Spritz was good. I would like to come back!

Yummy in karlsruhe

Excellent food. My first visit to Germany, with the husband and kids . We are staying in karlsruhe, wanted some halal tasty food. I googled and this place came up. So glad we tried it, the service and food was spot on. The head chef who may also have been the owner helped us with our choices as the menu was not in English . The food looked and tasted amazing. Most importantly my children aged 4 and 1 really enjoyed their meals. Thankyou for an amazing meal . Totally recommend to all.

The people they serve are super friendly. Food is delicious. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant. I recommend the dish for two people where you can try several tickets!

Very nice middle eastern restaurant, inside are cool Oriental sofas décor, friendly staff. I had a humus, which was great, so was the Arabic mocca coffee. Better go there when you have larger appetite, looks like they have very nice lunch deals

Awesome food and fair prices!

We are very disappointed. The price for dishes is not high but the portion is extremely small, seems for the kids. The separate salate costs 7 euro but the salate is nearly nothing. I have never seen such small size Salate ever. We cannot understand why it is so pricy. We will never come back.

Excellent, spicy food.

After reading the good review we decided to try this restaurant. Being here for the first time we gave faith to the kind chef to surprise us with his selection. After a good start with entree, simple but well done selection of sauces and snacks, we were really disappointed from the main dish: a dry combination of chicken breast and lamb burger served with a boring rice. At the end an unlucky dinner for us and not really cheap (almost 60 euro wine included)
